Hey, I’m Zoe

I am a communications practitioner, dedicated to empowering communication, creativity, and connection. As a relational leader and with PowHERhouse and producer of Gather for Her, I work to create more safety in social media and communications through open hearted media and messaging that fosters relationships rather than just followers.

I approaches communication through a lens of restorative practices and believe that through the authentic and brave expression of individuals and organizations and holding space for stories that push beyond limiting societal stereotypes and compartmentalized thinking we will see the narrative shift to a place of greater inclusion, transparency, and authentic comfort for any living being. Yes – this may have been the longest sentence you’ve read today, it had to be done!

With over seven years of experience facilitating individual and organizational expression and communication within the constructs of social media, web design, graphic design, digital storytelling, producing, writing, and video editing, and roots in facilitating personal expression and story through visual arts I am grateful for each new project and relationship I develop as we communication, create, and connect – together.

Communication happens all around us and I’ve taken many classes along the way – I’m currently working on my BA in Professional Communications to firmly root my practice and up-level my support for individuals and organizations. Along with this, I am also a certified Peaceful Parent Educator, a level two Reiki Practitioner, and a professionally trained Make-up Artist. I am passionate about the way we as adults build relationships with children and youth, our internal communication and personal awareness, as well as creative and visual ways of communicating, beyond words.

I am so grateful to enjoy and learn from the beautiful landscape of Vancouver Island with my family, specifically the unceded and ancestral territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, where I lives as an uninvited guest. One of my favourite things is to spend time with Ella & Evan, my two kids, who are her most treasured teachers – if they can do this on the beach, even better!
